Overview
Velotrade is a Hong Kong prop firm launched in March 2026 by the team behind an invoice finance business of the same name that dates back to 2016. Everything trades on one DXtrade account: crypto, US stocks, forex, indices and commodities. It suits traders who want static drawdowns, news trading and API access for bots, and who are happy being paid in stablecoins.
How the evaluation works
All three programs use a static drawdown measured from the starting balance.
CLASSIC 1-Step: a 10% target, a 4% daily loss limit and a 7% maximum drawdown. Sizes up to $100K.
CLASSIC 2-Step: 10% then 5%, with a 5% daily and 10% maximum drawdown. Sizes up to $100K.
PRO 1-Step: a 10% target with a 3% daily and 3% maximum drawdown, priced lower. Sizes up to $200K.
Rules worth knowing
You need five trading days per phase, and a day only counts if it closes at least 0.8% up on the starting balance. The same five days apply on the funded account before your first payout.
There's no time limit, but an account with no trade in 30 days is deactivated.
News trading and weekend holding are allowed, and there's no consistency rule. Single stocks have extra limits around earnings and holding.
EAs and bots are fine through the DXtrade API. MetaTrader EAs won't run without a bridge.
Hedging is allowed inside one account only. Copy trading is limited to your own accounts or public signal services.
Getting paid
The split is 80%, or 90% with an add-on. Your first payout can be requested 14 days after your first funded trade, then weekly. The minimum is $100, and payouts go out in USDC or USDT to your wallet. Fees aren't refundable.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
Velotrade, a Hong Kong invoice-finance company, launched its crypto and multi-asset prop firm in March 2026. Independent feedback is very thin so far. Its Trustpilot page has only a handful of reviews and shows no score: Trustpilot says the rating is unavailable because of a guidelines breach, and that it removed a number of fake reviews. A review site counted 8 reviews averaging 4 out of 5 in July, before the score was hidden. We found no Prop Firm Match, Forex Peace Army or Reddit discussion of the prop firm.
What traders like
A simple setup. A few Trustpilot reviewers like the clean, no-frills sign-up and evaluation process.
Prizes and payouts paid. One reviewer says a competition prize arrived quickly. A review site matched the firm's 60 published payouts to on-chain transfers.
Rules that suit crypto traders. Review sites point to static drawdown, no consistency rule and weekend holding.
Common complaints
A refused funded account. One Trustpilot reviewer says the firm declined to fund them after the first phase because their gold positions were too large, and questions whether anyone has been paid.
Doubts about early reviews. Some review sites say several early five-star reviews look generic, and that the firm's own blog ranks Velotrade first in its "best prop firm" lists.
A borrowed track record. Critics note the "since 2016" and payout figures belong to the earlier invoice-finance business, not the prop firm.
Recently
August 2026: a review site found the Trustpilot score hidden after a guidelines breach, with seven reviews visible.
September 2026: the same site re-scored the firm and confirmed the published payouts on-chain.
