Overview

Trade The Pool is the stocks arm of Five Percent Online, the company behind The5ers. It only does US stocks and ETFs, over 12,000 of them, including penny stocks and IPOs, and there's no pattern day trader rule. It suits equity traders who want to trade real tickers rather than CFDs, and who don't mind a lower split for it.

How the evaluation works

Every program is one phase. You pick day trading or swing, then Flex or Max.

  • Day Trading Flex: a 6% target, a 2% daily pause and a 4% max loss, with no time limit.

  • Day Trading Max: the same 6% target with a 1% daily pause and 3% max loss, inside 60 days.

  • Swing Flex and Max: a 15% target, 3% daily pause and 7% max loss. Max gives you 100 days.

The max loss sits at a fixed level below your starting balance. Once your equity is up three times the daily pause, the floor jumps to the starting balance. The daily pause closes your trades for the day but doesn't end the account.

Rules worth knowing

Day trading accounts are flattened at 15:50 ET every day. You can reopen after the close, but overnight buying power is cut sharply. Swing accounts can hold overnight and over weekends. Nothing can be held through a scheduled earnings report. Every trade has to stay open 30 seconds and move at least 10 cents, and you need a minimum number of trades before a payout. News trading is allowed. Flex accounts have a 50% consistency rule.

Getting paid

You keep 70% of the profit. Withdrawals open 14 days after the funded account starts and every 14 days after that, with a $300 minimum profit ($150 on the 5k). Flex accounts also need three days of 0.5% profit in the window. Payouts go by wire, crypto, card or Hub credit.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Trade The Pool, the stock and ETF prop firm run by the company behind The5ers, is well reviewed: 4.4 on Trustpilot from about 760 reviews, with around four in five giving five stars. Its score has held between 4.3 and 4.5 for the past two years as the review count grew. The complaints that do appear are less about whether it pays and more about a dense rulebook that can void trades after the fact.

What traders like

  • Real US stocks. Many reviewers say it is one of the only prop firms where they can trade real equities and ETFs, with no pattern day trader rule.

  • Helpful staff. Support gets steady praise for being quick, professional and patient.

  • Clear structure. Several traders say the rules and limited-risk model helped them trade with more discipline.

  • Payouts. Reviewers and Prop Firm Match's 2025 award both point to smooth payouts for traders who stay within the rules.

Common complaints

  • Rules that void gains. The most common complaint. Traders on Reddit and Trustpilot describe profits removed for breaking the 30-second hold, 10-cent minimum gain, volume or single-position profit limits, and some call these hidden rules.

  • Payout reviews. Some say the risk review before a payout led to delays or denials, and a few report large payouts refused and accounts banned.

  • Fills on thin stocks. Several Reddit posters say quotes and fills on low-volume or pre-market stocks don't match the real market.

  • Platform and scaling. A few long-time funded traders describe a dated platform, dashboard sync problems and a scaling plan that isn't automated.

  • Profit split. The 70% base split is lower than many forex firms offer.

Recently

  • Nothing specific stands out in the last 90 days. The Trustpilot score and the themes in recent reviews look the same as earlier in the year.
