Overview
Lux Trading Firm is a UK company with an office in Dubai, selling large one-step evaluations on forex, indices, metals, energies, stocks and crypto. Funded stages are traded on an A-book model with a live liquidity provider. It suits disciplined traders who size every trade the same way and want room to scale, rather than anyone chasing a quick pass.
How the evaluation works
1-Step Evaluation: $100k for £199 with a 10% target, $400k for £449 with 12%, or $1M for £999 with 15%. Every size has a fixed 6% drawdown from the starting balance and no daily limit. The fee comes back in full once you pass.
INSTA: $100k or $400k on a demo account with a 12% target and the same 6% floor. Hit the target cleanly and you're paid 80% of it once. The fee isn't refunded and the account doesn't scale.
Funded accounts scale up each time you make 10%, all the way to $10M.
Rules worth knowing
The risk rules are where people come unstuck. Every trade needs a stop loss before you enter. You pick a fixed percentage of your remaining risk capital per trade, at most 5%, and keep it consistent through the stage. No single trade, or group of trades in the same idea, can bank more than 5% of the stage target. News trading is fine, but you can't move stops in the 30 seconds around a release, and bracketing news with pending orders is banned. Copy trading is allowed between your own evaluation accounts. There are no minimum or maximum trading days.
Getting paid
Funded traders keep 80% and can withdraw whenever the account is in profit, with all positions closed. Withdrawn profit still counts toward the next scaling target.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
Lux Trading Firm gets a divided verdict. Trustpilot shows 3.8 from about 635 reviews, a mix of mostly five-star and a sizeable block of one-star reviews. Forex Peace Army has only two reviews, both negative, for a 1.5 score. Prop Firm Match does not list the firm. Forum threads on Reddit and Forex Factory lean critical, and a review aggregator notes that many recent five-star Trustpilot reviews mention contests and giveaways rather than payouts.
What traders like
No daily loss limit. Several Trustpilot reviewers say the static drawdown and lack of a daily limit suit their trading.
The long-term model. Traders who want a slow career path with large scaling, an audited track record and real-money execution like the structure.
Support. Some reviewers say live chat helped them understand rules they had misread, and that a free reset let them start again.
Withdrawals. Review sites that sampled Trustpilot say payouts are reliable but come on a slower, monthly rhythm.
Common complaints
Strict and unclear risk rules. The most common complaint on Reddit, Forex Factory and Forex Peace Army: traders say accounts were closed or payouts refused for risk limits per trade or across open trades that they feel are not spelled out clearly.
Hard to reach a payout. Several forum posters say they never saw anyone get paid, though others report payouts.
Low split and long evaluations. Some reviewers point to the 75% split and a long minimum trading period.
Combative replies. The firm's public answers to negative Trustpilot reviews are often sharp, which some readers see as a warning sign.
Recently
August to September 2026: many new five-star Trustpilot reviews come from traders who joined a Lux prediction market competition, and an August review aggregator rated overall sentiment three out of five, partly because of these giveaway-driven reviews.
