Overview

Lark Funding is a Canadian firm, operating since 2022, that sells simulated accounts for forex, indices, commodities, stocks and crypto CFDs on DXtrade, cTrader or Match-Trader. Every evaluation uses a static drawdown, with no minimum trading days and no deadline. It suits traders who want a cheap way in and don't need to hold over the weekend.

How the evaluation works

  • 1-Step: one 10% target, a 5% daily loss limit and a 7% maximum loss fixed to the starting balance. Sizes run from $10K to $200K.

  • 1-Step Max: a 12% target with a 12% static floor and 5% daily limit, but no single trade setup may risk more than 1%. Three free restarts are included.

  • 3-Step: 5%, then 4%, then 3%, with a 5% static floor and no daily limit. It's the cheapest route, from $105 for $10K.

  • Instant: no evaluation, a 5% daily limit and an 8% drawdown that trails your highest equity until you're 8% up.

Rules worth knowing

News trading is allowed, but Lark bans "all-or-nothing" sizing and caps gains at $10,000 per day or per trade. Trades without a stop loss get closed automatically. Positions are shut at 3:45 PM EST on Fridays unless you bought the weekend add-on, which costs 10% of the fee. EAs are tolerated, though HFT and arbitrage bots are banned. You can copy trades into one evaluation, and into several accounts once funded. Fees aren't refundable.

Getting paid

Evaluation accounts pay 80% every 14 days, with 90% and weekly payouts sold as add-ons. Instant accounts pay 90%, with the first payout on demand and then every 30 days. All payouts go through Rise, with a $100 minimum and a $40 flat fee.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Lark Funding, a Canadian firm running since 2022, has a solid reputation among the traders who review it. It holds a 4-star rating on Trustpilot from about 520 reviews and 4.5 on Prop Firm Match from about 90. TheTrustedProp has four user reviews averaging 9.1 out of 10. A Forex Peace Army page exists but the bundle shows no score for it, and Reddit discussion is thin.

What traders like

  • Fast payouts. Many reviewers on Trustpilot and Prop Firm Match say payouts landed quickly, some within hours, and several mention it was their first payout from any prop firm.

  • Clear rules. Traders often say the rules are simple and published up front, with no consistency rule, no time limits and no news restrictions.

  • Support and the founder's presence. Support gets steady praise for fast, friendly answers, and reviewers note that the CEO is active with the community.

  • Platforms. A few say Match-Trader worked better than they expected, though some still want MetaTrader.

Common complaints

  • Flagged accounts. Some reviewers say accounts were flagged for multiple-account or copy-trading rules they believe they did not break, for example over a shared network.

  • Slow dispute handling. A few long-time customers say support gave only general replies once a problem came up, sometimes for months.

  • Price rises. Reviewers note that the Lark 3.0 overhaul raised challenge prices and dropped the 2-step option.

  • Execution. A handful mention price delays or slippage on the platform.

Recently

  • August 2026: reviews of the Lark 3.0 changes focus on higher prices and the removal of the 2-step challenge, while praising payout speed.

  • September to October 2026: a Trustpilot reviewer with past payouts says a support issue opened in May was still unresolved, and another disputes a multiple-account flag on a competition entry. The Trustpilot count now shows about 520 reviews, down from 580 in late 2025.
