Overview

FundingRock is a CFD prop firm run from Nicosia, Cyprus. You trade forex, metals, energy, indices and crypto on TradeLocker or cTrader. Entry prices are low, and the loss limits are tight to match, so it suits careful traders who size small and don't need to hold over the weekend.

How the evaluation works

  • 2-Step: 6% in each phase, a 3% daily loss and a 6% static overall loss.

  • 1-Step: a 10% target with the same 3% daily loss, but the 6% maximum loss trails your highest closed balance.

  • Instant: no evaluation and no target. You get 4% daily and 8% overall, trailing your highest closed balance, with a 15% consistency rule.

  • Pay After You Pass: a $5 entry with a 3% target and an 8% trailing loss, then an activation fee once you pass.

None of the programs has a minimum number of trading days or a time limit.

Rules worth knowing

  • The daily limit resets at 21:00 UTC, measured from the higher of balance or equity.

  • On the 1-Step and 2-Step you can't open, close or change trades in the two minutes either side of high-impact news. Instant and Pay After You Pass allow news trading.

  • Holding over a weekend without the paid add-on breaches the account.

  • Funded accounts from the 1-Step and 2-Step carry a 30% consistency rule.

  • Copy trading, hedging and shared commercial EAs are banned.

Getting paid

The split is 80%, or 95% with an add-on. On the 1-Step and 2-Step your first reward comes 14 days after your first funded trade, then every 14 days. Instant accounts can request rewards on demand. Once you request a reward, the trailing loss locks at your starting balance. Rewards go out through Rise or crypto.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

FundingRock is a young Cyprus-based firm with a small review footprint. It has a 4-star rating on Trustpilot from about 180 reviews, and that is the only review site with a real page about it. Beyond that there are scattered Reddit mentions and a few YouTube payout videos. Treat the picture as early.

What traders like

  • Simple rules. Trustpilot reviewers and Reddit posters often mention that there are few rules beyond the daily and overall loss limits, with no consistency rule.

  • Payouts so far. Several reviewers say their payouts came through on time, and the firm's leaderboard reassured some first-time buyers.

  • Helpful support. Support gets regular praise for being friendly and responsive.

  • Holding positions. Some like that swing trading and holding gold outside regular hours is allowed.

Common complaints

  • Blocked accounts and denied payouts. A few Trustpilot reviewers say their account was restricted at payout time over rules they say were never spelled out. One says they were asked to sign a waiver before the payout would be processed.

  • Passed but not funded. At least one reviewer says they passed the challenge and did not receive a funded account.

  • Thin independent evidence. Many of the Reddit mentions are short recommendations in general threads rather than detailed accounts, and one review roundup notes that some Reddit users have asked for more public payout proof.

The firm replies to most negative Trustpilot reviews, usually saying restrictions follow its automated risk rules.

Recently

  • August 2026: a Trustpilot reviewer disputes a blocked account and the waiver request, and the review count climbed to about 180 from around 120 in early July.

  • August 2026: a Reddit roundup calls FundingRock a credible mid-tier option while advising caution until there is more long-term payout data.
