Overview

Crypto Fund Trader is a Swiss-registered prop firm that started with crypto and now covers forex, indices, commodities and stocks too. You pick MT5, Match-Trader or a Bybit account when you buy, and there are more than 700 crypto pairs. It suits crypto traders who want plenty of pairs and don't want a clock running.

How the evaluation works

  • 1 Phase (Accelerated): a 10% target with a 4% daily limit and a 6% trailing drawdown that follows your account up. From $40 for 5k to $1,199 for 200k.

  • 2 Phases (Evaluation): 8% then 5%, with a 5% daily and 10% fixed overall limit. From $58 for 5k to $1,250 for 200k.

  • Break: one phase with a trailing drawdown in dollars, for example a $1,250 target and $1,000 drawdown on 25k. You pay $70 up front and a $138 activation fee only after you pass.

  • Ascend and Instant: a second two-phase plan and an instant account that doubles in size each time you hit 10%.

Rules worth knowing

  • No minimum trading days and no time limit on the 1- and 2-phase challenges.

  • News trading is allowed, except on Ascend, which blocks new trades two minutes either side of high-impact news.

  • High-frequency trading, tick scalping and arbitrage are banned. Holding opposite positions on the same instrument for more than 60 seconds counts as abusive hedging.

  • Break funded accounts have a 40% consistency rule, checked when you ask for a payout.

Getting paid

The standard split is 80%, and you can buy a 90% add-on at checkout. Default payouts come every 30 days once you've traded 15 days, and weekly or bi-weekly payouts are paid add-ons. Break accounts pay on demand. You can take bank transfers in EUR or USD, or crypto.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Crypto Fund Trader has a large review record, but the headline number is missing. Trustpilot has withdrawn the firm's score for a guidelines breach and says it removed a number of fake reviews, so the page lists about 1,140 reviews with no rating. Before that, review sites quoted it at around 4.4. Prop Firm Match gives 4.1 from about 110 verified reviews, while Scamadviser's own small pool sits at 1.6 from 72.

What traders like

  • Quick payouts. Many reviewers say withdrawals arrived within a day, some within hours, and a few describe a steady run of payouts over a year.

  • The Bybit integration. Crypto traders often say trading on a familiar exchange interface, with tight spreads and fast execution, is the main draw.

  • Helpful support. Several reviews mention support staff who fixed setup mistakes or answered quickly.

  • Track record. Reddit posters tend to describe it as one of the steadier crypto prop firms, around since 2022.

Common complaints

  • Payouts cancelled after review. Several reviewers on Trustpilot and Forex Peace Army say profits were removed by the risk team over a rule violation they did not accept, with no warning.

  • The terms. A few reviewers point out that the terms describe accounts as simulated and allow the firm to withhold payouts or close accounts at its discretion.

  • Platform and dashboard issues. Some older complaints describe drawdown figures or demo balances that did not reconcile, and support declining to correct them.

  • Trust in the ratings. Some Reddit posters argue that positive feedback includes shill accounts, which the Trustpilot fake review notice feeds into.

Recently

  • August 2026: reviewers noted that Trustpilot had pulled the firm's rating and flagged removed fake reviews. Prop Firm Match still shows 4.1 as of late August.
