Overview
XTB is a Polish broker, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and running since 2002, that mixes leveraged CFD trading with plain stock and ETF investing in one account. It suits someone who wants both under one roof on one in-house platform. UK clients sit with XTB Limited under the FCA, EU clients with XTB Limited in Cyprus under CySEC, and the Polish parent is supervised by the KNF. Everyone outside the UK and EU goes to XTB International, regulated in Belize.
Accounts and costs
There's no minimum deposit in the UK. Stocks and ETFs are commission-free up to the equivalent of €100,000 a month in turnover, then 0.2% with a £10 minimum, and there's a 0.5% conversion fee when you buy in another currency. CFDs carry no commission, with costs in the spread from 0.3 on the UK site, and leverage is capped at 1:30 for UK retail clients. The international Standard account goes up to 1:500, and there's a swap-free version for a $1 deposit. UK clients also get a stocks and shares ISA and interest on cash they haven't invested.
Platforms and markets
You trade on xStation, XTB's own web, desktop and mobile platform. MT4 and MT5 are gone and there's no TradingView link or API, so Expert Advisor users should look elsewhere. The range is wide: 9,200+ stocks and ETFs from the EU and US, and 2,600+ CFDs on forex, indices, commodities and crypto.
Money in and out
UK deposits go in by card or bank transfer in GBP, EUR or USD, free from XTB's side. Withdrawals are free too, but they only go back by bank transfer, and international clients need to take out more than $50 to avoid a fee.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
XTB gets a mixed but mostly workable picture from its customers. It holds 3.6 on Trustpilot from about 2,900 reviews, and one review site counts roughly a quarter of those reviews as one star. Forex Peace Army and Myfxbook both have pages on XTB but show no score in what we collected. Long-term investors in Europe, many of them on Reddit, tend to be happy; the angriest reviews are about getting money out.
What traders like
Low cost for shares and ETFs. European investors on Reddit often say the zero-commission stock and ETF trading is the main reason they picked XTB, and several say they have used it for years without a problem.
The app and xStation. Reviewers describe the platform as fast and easy to use, and a Myfxbook write-up calls it reliable for traders happy to stay with one broker.
Common complaints
Withdrawals. A steady stream of reviews on Trustpilot, Forex Peace Army and Reddit say withdrawals were delayed, or that bank documents were rejected more than once before money was released. Some Reddit replies point out that many of these cases come down to incomplete verification.
Support that goes quiet. Several reviewers say live chat closes conversations quickly, or that replies stop once a problem escalates.
Hidden costs. Some Reddit users mention the 0.5% currency conversion fee and wide spreads on some CFDs, and say moving shares out to another broker is awkward.
Clone sites. WikiFX warns that fake websites using XTB's name have taken money from people, which shows up in some of the scam claims online.
