Overview
Wedbush Futures isn't a retail app broker. It's the futures arm of Wedbush Securities Inc., a Chicago-based futures commission merchant that clears and executes trades for professional traders, institutions and smaller brokers. If you trade futures through a firm like Optimus Futures, there's a fair chance Wedbush is the clearing firm holding your money. Wedbush Securities is registered with the CFTC as an FCM and is a FINRA-member broker-dealer, and it says it's one of the largest capitalised non-bank FCMs in the US.
Accounts and costs
Wedbush doesn't publish retail account types, minimums or a commission table. Pricing is agreed directly with professional and institutional clients, and retail traders usually get their rates from the introducing broker they sign up with. Fees are listed in the client portal once you have an account. Client futures funds sit in segregated accounts, but like any FCM they aren't covered by SIPC.
Platforms and markets
Wedbush supports a range of professional front ends, including Trading Technologies, CQG, Rithmic and CTS T4, alongside its own tools. Qualified clients can get direct market access with pre-trade risk controls. It clears all the US futures exchanges, including Bitcoin futures, plus equity options and FICC-cleared Treasuries, with limited access to some overseas markets.
Money in and out
Deposits go straight to Wedbush Securities Inc. by wire, ACH or check (US only), or as a transfer from another broker. Third-party payments aren't accepted, and there are no card or e-wallet options. Withdrawals go back by check, wire or domestic ACH, usually requested through your introducing broker.
