Overview
Webull is a US online broker built around its own app, aimed at self-directed traders who want commission-free stocks and options with better charts than the basic apps. The US business, Webull Financial LLC, is registered with the SEC and is a FINRA and SIPC member, and futures go through Webull Futures LLC, a CFTC-registered FCM and NFA member. There are sister businesses licensed in Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. The company listed on Nasdaq in 2025 under the ticker BULL.
Accounts and costs
You can open cash, margin and IRA accounts with no minimum deposit. US stocks, ETFs and options cost nothing in commission, though certain index options carry a $0.50 per contract fee and the usual SEC and FINRA fees apply on sells. Futures run $1.25 a contract. Margin needs $2,000 in equity and then gives 4x buying power intraday and 2x overnight. There's no inactivity fee or annual IRA fee, but moving your stocks out costs $75. Cash and securities are covered by SIPC up to $500,000, of which $250,000 can be cash.
Platforms and markets
Webull runs its own desktop, web and mobile platforms, with Level 2 quotes, a Pine-inspired script editor, paper trading and an open API. You can also trade your account from TradingView. Markets cover US stocks, ADRs, OTC shares, fractional shares, 3,300+ ETFs, options, futures, crypto and bonds, with pre-market and after-hours sessions. There's no MetaTrader and no forex CFD offer.
Money in and out
In the US, ACH deposits and withdrawals are free and debit card deposits carry no Webull fee. Wires are pricey: $8 in and $25 out domestically, or $12.50 in and $45 out internationally. Clients outside the US can only use wire transfers.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
Webull's review-site scores are poor, while its app-store ratings and Reddit users are much kinder. It scores 1.3 on Trustpilot from about 400 reviews, with most reviewers giving one star, and 1 on Sitejabber from 9 reviews. Review sites note that the app itself holds high ratings in the Apple and Google stores, so the Trustpilot pool is weighted towards people with a problem.
What traders like
The app and charts. Reddit users often praise the clean interface on phone and desktop, the charting and drawing tools, and the paper trading account.
Active-trader tools. Some TradingView reviewers like the desktop platform's level 2 data, time and sales, and screeners.
Low costs. Commission-free stock and options trading is a common reason people pick it.
Long trading hours. Several traders use Webull for its extended hours.
Common complaints
Withdrawals and transfers. The most common Trustpilot theme. Reviewers describe frozen ACH links when withdrawing, demands for bank statements to prove ownership, deposits that did not arrive, and outgoing account transfers rejected or delayed.
Customer service. Many say support is slow and unable to fix simple account changes, sometimes for weeks.
Fills and execution. Several day traders on Reddit complain of poor fills, especially pre-market, and blame payment for order flow. One user describes a futures outage in October 2025 where stops did not trigger.
Account locks. Some reviewers say accounts were restricted without clear reasons, and BBB complaints mention slow fraud investigations.
Recently
We found no dated reviews from the last 90 days beyond the Trustpilot page itself, which in July 2026 still showed fresh complaints about slow support and frozen bank links.
