Overview
Tiger Brokers is an online stockbroker from the Asia-Pacific region, running since 2014 and built around its Tiger Trade app. It suits investors in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong who want cheap access to US and Asian shares, options and futures from one account. It's licensed by MAS in Singapore, ASIC in Australia and the SFC in Hong Kong, has NZ entities that hold client money, and an NFA registration in the US. In Singapore, US securities are covered by SIPC up to $500,000.
Accounts and costs
You choose between a cash account and a margin account, and neither has a minimum deposit. Fees depend on the market and your country. In Australia, for example, US options cost USD 3 for up to four contracts and then USD 0.75 each, and micro gold futures start from $0.99 a contract. There are no deposit, withdrawal, inactivity, custody or maintenance fees, though minimum commissions apply. On margin accounts, long stock positions need 25% to 100% margin, so up to about 4x. Singapore clients can also invest SRS money.
Platforms and markets
Everything runs on Tiger Trade on mobile, Mac, Windows and the web, with a demo account for stocks and options. There's no MetaTrader and no CFDs. Depending on where you live, you can trade shares and ETFs in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, China A-shares, 24/5 trading on 9,500+ US names, fractional shares, options with up to four legs, 100+ futures products and over 1,500 funds.
Money in and out
Deposits and withdrawals go by bank transfer to or from an account in your own name. Third-party platforms, joint accounts and cash aren't accepted. Tiger doesn't charge, though your bank may, and withdrawals usually arrive in two to three working days.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
Tiger Brokers has few customer reviews for a broker with millions of accounts, and the evidence we have is thin. Its regional Trustpilot pages are small: Traders Union reports 2.3 for the Singapore page and 3.7 for the Australian one, and PIP Penguin counted about 60 reviews on the Singapore page in mid-2026. TradingView and Forex Peace Army host pages without a score in our evidence. Most of the real discussion happens on Reddit, in Singapore and New Zealand finance communities.
What traders like
Low fees and free trades. New Zealand users in particular point to cheap US trading, low FX costs and a handful of free trades each month.
Easy app. Several Reddit users find the interface simpler than local alternatives, and review sites note that the mobile app rates well in app stores.
TradingView link. A few TradingView reviewers like trading straight from TradingView charts.
Market access. US, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australian shares from one account come up often.
Common complaints
Withdrawals smaller than the balance. Several Singapore users describe being able to withdraw only part of their cash, usually around settlement or reward shares, with slow answers from support.
Order handling on options. One widely discussed Reddit post describes a stop-limit option order cancelled by the system instead of being placed, and another series questions options assignment and order routing.
Fee changes. Some say new per-share settlement fees were added with little notice.
Customer service. Reviewers on TradingView and Reddit say support is slow and often cannot act without an internal team.
Safety worries. Some Singapore threads raise concern about the group's Chinese links after regulatory news in China hit its share price; others reply that MAS regulation and a local custodian apply.
