Overview

Global Prime is a Sydney-based forex and CFD broker that's been running since 2010. It's a good fit for scalpers, EA users and news traders who care most about raw spreads and fast execution, since all three styles are allowed. The Australian business, FMGP Trading Group Pty Ltd, is regulated by ASIC under AFSL 385620, and an offshore arm in Vanuatu is regulated by the VFSC. Which entity you sign up with decides your leverage.

Accounts and costs

There are two live accounts and neither has a minimum deposit. Standard has spreads from 0.9 pips and no commission. Raw starts at 0.0 pips and charges $3.50 per side, so $7 a lot round turn, on FX and metals. Crypto trades cost 0.1%, and there's no commission on oil, other commodities or indices. Trades run from 0.01 to 1,000 lots, the stop-out level is 20%, and you can set leverage anywhere from 1:30 to 1:1000 if your entity allows it. Base currencies are USD, AUD, GBP, EUR, CAD, SGD and JPY.

Platforms and markets

You trade on MT4 or MT5, on desktop, mobile or web. Servers sit in the NY4 data centre in New York, with execution from around 10ms. The range is about 250 CFDs across forex, indices, commodities and crypto, and a free demo is open from the GP Hub.

Money in and out

Global Prime covers deposit fees on its 20+ funding methods, which include Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Neteller and Skrill. Client money is kept in segregated trust accounts with tier-1 banks such as HSBC. Withdrawals are requested in the GP Hub, and the broker says the median processing time is about two hours.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Global Prime has a small but mostly happy following, with a thinner set of complaints about withdrawals and disputed trades. Broker comparison sites report it at 4.6 on Trustpilot from about 510 reviews as of August 2026; the Trustpilot page itself is not in the material we collected. On Myfxbook it scores 3.8 from 39 reviews. Forex Peace Army has a long-running page with many positive reviews but no score in our material.

What traders like

  • Transparency. Reviewers on Forex Peace Army often mention the trade receipts Global Prime sends, which few brokers offer.

  • Responsive support. Many say support replies fast and that staff understand trading, and one says the broker paid compensation after a delayed deposit.

  • Pricing and execution. Tight spreads, low commissions and fast fills come up repeatedly on Forex Peace Army, Myfxbook and Reddit.

  • Smooth withdrawals for most. Several long-standing clients say money has come out quickly for years.

Common complaints

  • Withdrawal delays. Some Reddit and Myfxbook reviewers say withdrawals were slow to process and that the payments team took days to reply. BrokerChooser's summary of public discussion also lists withdrawal and funding delays as the main complaint.

  • Trades closed and accounts stopped. A few reviewers say the broker closed trades or halted their trading after a quick profit, and dispute the reason given.

  • Server speed. One Reddit reviewer measured slower server response than at other brokers they use.

  • The Afterprime split. A 2023 Forex Peace Army thread describes confusion over withdrawals when part of the business became Afterprime. It was marked resolved.

Some Reddit users have also wondered whether the very high share of five-star reviews looks too good to be true. We have no evidence either way.

Recently

  • July 2026: a Myfxbook and Forex Peace Army reviewer says their hedged trades were closed at a loss and their trading stopped one day after opening an account. No other dated items from the last 90 days.
